Kolkata, Apr 27 (UNI) Even though the schools are closed since middle of the March due to Covid19 , proper ground level planning by entire team of Little Laureates has helped the kids of Little Laureates to carry out their daily learning activities without any problem.
Little Laureates , the largest self operated digitally enabled preschool chain of Eastern India has taken early child education at the grass root level since inception focusing on catering to kids coming middle income and lower income households in district and rural levels .
Little Laureates pedagogy “ENRICH” stands on 5 pillars – 1. A socio cultural global view of learning , 2. Play as learning, play as work, 3. Moving from literacy to fluency 4. All round well being of the child , 5. Creating a circle of learning and scaffolding which form the ethos of our philosophy of education in Little Laureates so that each and every kids develop as confident, powerful and competent indiviuals to build a strong Nation. As the schools entered into lockdown period, every house is now a school and every parents are now teachers, entire staff of Little Laureates got connected to each and every parents and explained our unique designed “Parent Engagement Programme” and get them acquainted with through social networking platform like What’s App video calling and ZOOM platform and conducted several mock session.
Meanwhile , students were asked to simple yoga exercises and rhyme competition was organized to keep the kids connected to daily routine.
As the daily class routine was not aligned on e-platform and it involves huge time and money ,staffs worked harder in creating videos of normal class room activites which was communicated through what’s app and was explained through ZOOM meeting platform or though Google classroom.
Initially there were little hiccups but once the parents understand the vision of our Parents Engagement Programme , operational becomes easy. Teachers speak to parents and students through what’s app video chatting and capture their activities at home and kids are extremely happy in touch with teachers.
